It's looking like I won't be taking that Italian language course this summer, instead possibly taking it during the fall. Last night I was out with Natalie to have drinks with some friends in piazza Savonarola and was introduced to a girl looking for someone to work as an Executive Assistant at the GE offices in Florence. I've had similar work experience, and being that I am in need of a job come... well, very soon, I sent her my CV this morning.

I went with Natalie on Sunday night to see Star Trek (I've been going crazy waiting for this one to come out). Of course we had to watch it in Italian, after we were both surprised to have understood the whole film (space talk and technical language in Italian? we're just that smart..) - lasciamo perdere that Natalie is just a language genius, though. Moving on... I grew up watching Star Trek with my parents (the Next Generation + Deep Space Nine, what?! They were the ones on TV at the time...) My family is a bunch of engineers that are obsessed with sci fi and technology and space and generally anything nerdy - so we were, are, a huge trekkie family. Which is nice. MOVING ON... this film was NOT Star Trek. But I loved it. It is Star Trek the modern version, and I don't care if trekkies all over the internet are getting their panties in a knot about this one. Not only are the dudes gorgeous and dream about them naked, it's just beautiful to watch. Okay, once again, I understand it is NOT Star Trek, but nobody can take away my sexual fantasies of Captain Kirk and Spok and me. Wait.. Where was I going with this?

When you see people around town that you had falling outs with and now no longer talk to them and just seeing them ruins your night, finding out that the trip you are so looking forward because you haven't been home for over a year is canceled, not having a plan for the next few months and asked to organize your life for the next few years.

it's coming..

I'm excited about summer crushes, trips to Paris, language lessons, going home, and returning to Florence for a fresh start. Tonight, invece, is pizza with the lovely two ladies I share a home with, the 'Polfer', and then drinks and a night on the town, with my favourite man, Cri, because I discovered that tomorrow I only have to come in at 11.30 in the morning! It's going to be an all-nighter and I don't care if it'll be at the American-infested Twice Club, it's going to be beautiful! The heat is coming!
(although once it actually becomes summer I will go back to wanting the winter)
