Yesterday was a holiday. Nat, Giova, Emiliano and I left for Cala Violina which is in the south of Tuscany along the coast. The beach. The perfect beach. You have to leave your car in a parking lot on the other side of a mountain and hike to get there, 1.5 km. We took the Pig and she spent the entire day in the water and making friends with other dogs, eating sand and drinking from the sea and using my beach towel.

Later we went for a stroll through some small villages in the area, and finally to Bibbona for a pizza in a restaurant where you serve yourself. The waiter takes your order and when they call your number you grab your pizza from the kitchen and eat! (and possibly drank way too much wine and limoncello)

Lots of sun, amazing food, better company, it makes being exhausted at work today worth it.
